Editorial process

  1. Source. Download the USITC HTS structured dataset (general MFN duty rates, product descriptions, HTS codes) and the FAO FAOSTAT agricultural trade database.
  2. Verify. No tariff data is modified or editorially interpreted, rate expressions, product descriptions, and HTS codes are presented exactly as published by the USITC.
  3. Publish. The parsed datasets are compiled into a searchable database; every tariff line and trade flow figure traces back to a source row.
